We Are Wire (Signed Print)

From a tangled mat of tendrils, roots, sinew, and cable emerges a face of ambiguous countenance. Is this reflection of a person sullen, despondent, concerned, or simply exhausted? Or something else? Further, this image provokes us to ask: is it coming to form with these many strands, or is it decomposing into its constituent parts? Is it raveling or unraveling? Either way, it seems to whisper a statement: we are wire, strings and strands suspended in time and space from our origins to our demise. This raises one final question during a time of severe disruption (social, psychological, political): who are we, really? Are we limited to our own understandings of ourselves, or are we much more than that? If the latter, we must cope with our own otherness.
